What We Do
Core Services
Every project moves through careful listening, precise EQ, and format-specific preparation — whether it lands on a 12″ lacquer or a digital release.
Digital Mastering
Full digital mastering with CD and DVD burning. Optimized levels, cohesive sequencing, and format-ready output for streaming, download, and physical media.
Vinyl Mastering
Complete vinyl mastering chain — from source audio through to a cut lacquer. Genre-informed EQ and dynamics tailored for the pressing format.
Vinyl Pre-Mastering
Pre-mastering preparation for lacquer cutting: level balancing, de-essing, low-end control, and side-length optimization so your cut translates cleanly to vinyl.
Lacquer Cutting
Reference and master lacquers cut on a Neumann VMS70 lathe with SAL74B electronics and SX74 cutterhead — the heart of the studio's analog signal path.
Restoration & Remasters
Transcription and restoration of old tapes, cassettes, and wave files. Noise reduction, click removal, and careful remastering for reissues and archival projects.
Metal Plating & Stampers
Metal plating and stamper creation from your approved lacquer. Reliable processing that feeds directly into pressing plant workflows.
Reproduction
Small-run and full-scale reproduction services. Coordinate lacquers, plating, and pressing for vinyl releases at any volume.
Etched Sides
Custom etched lacquer sides for limited editions and special releases — adding a tactile, visual element to your record.

Styles We Work With
The studio has deep roots in underground and independent music. These are the genres we know inside and out.
The Signal Chain
Built Around the Neumann VMS70
At the center of the cutting room is a Neumann VMS70 lathe paired with SAL74B electronics and an SX74 cutterhead — a combination prized for its accuracy and musicality. This is the same platform that cut thousands of classic punk and metal records, and it remains the backbone of our lacquer work today.
Every cut is monitored in real time. The lathe's mechanical precision and the cutterhead's wide bandwidth let us push levels while keeping distortion in check — especially important for loud, dense genres.
Digital mastering is the foundation of any great release, ensuring that every track translates well across streaming platforms, CD, and digital download. The process involves careful equalization, dynamic control, and consistent loudness from song to song. A skilled mastering engineer listens for frequency imbalances, harshness, or muddiness, then applies precise corrective processing. The goal is a polished, cohesive sound that retains the energy and character of the original mix while meeting modern technical standards. Whether for a blistering hardcore EP or a sludge metal full-length, digital mastering provides the final sonic polish that makes a recording ready for the world.
Vinyl mastering demands a completely different approach than digital preparation. Because the physical limitations of the lacquer cutting process affect bass response, stereo width, and overall level, an experienced engineer tailors every decision to the medium. From the initial transfer to the lacquer master, careful attention is paid to groove spacing, inner-groove distortion, and tracking ability. The result is a master that plays back cleanly on a wide range of turntables. For labels and bands pressing punk, hip hop, or garage records, this specialized step is essential to achieving a pressing that sounds full, loud, and true to the intended mix.
The full vinyl production chain extends well beyond mastering, encompassing metalwork, plating, and final stampers. Once the lacquer is cut, it undergoes silvering and electroforming to create a father, mother, and eventually the stampers used in the pressing plant. Each step requires careful quality control to preserve the audio fidelity established during mastering. A single mistake in plating can introduce noise, pops, or degraded high frequencies. By overseeing the entire chain from start to finish, a dedicated facility ensures that the final records match the sonic vision of the artist and engineer, delivering consistent results run after run.
